Data and Technology Intern
Job ID R0000037538 Durham, North CarolinaThe IT Support & ITSM Intern will support day‑to‑day IT operations while gaining hands‑on experience with enterprise service management practices. This role provides exposure to end‑user support, ITIL‑aligned processes, ticketing systems, and continuous service improvement initiatives. The intern will work closely with IT support engineers, service managers, and business stakeholders to help deliver reliable and efficient technology services.
This is an excellent opportunity for a student in IT operations, service management, and cybersecurity‑aware support environments.
Duration and Location:
This is a summer internship position onsite in the Raleigh, NC office. The internship is expected to start May 18th with a duration of 8 weeks ending July 10th, Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM daily (32 hours per week).
Below outlines your daily tasks:
- Provide Level 1 IT support for end users, and learn how an Technology organization works and learn how to use ServiceNow
- Troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues
- Supporting laptops, peripherals, mobile devices, and collaboration tools
- Escalate issues appropriately and follow through to resolution
- Assist with device provisioning, onboarding, offboarding, and asset tracking
- Document common issues, resolutions, and how-to guides in the knowledge base
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
