JOB DESCRIPTION
FSP Training Specialist
Job Purpose:
The FSP (Functional Service Provider) Training Specialist is responsible for implementing effective onboarding and training procedures for the assigned FSP programs and providing subject matter expertise for FSP and/or Client systems, processes, and SOPs. They may support the full training logistics life cycle of a FSP training program or curriculum, facilitate functional and program level onboarding, orientation, and
ongoing training, as well as coordination of training delivery activities and tracking training compliance.
They are responsible for liaising with internal departments and FSP account management teams to
support process improvement initiatives and promote client and organizational satisfaction through training
support
Key Accountabilities:
FSP Training Team
Support
- Contributes to the implementation of team and organizational process improvement activities
- Identifies issues and areas of opportunity for program and/or staff training, and partners with the team to develop appropriate mitigation plans
- Identifies and facilitates solutions to complex problems
FSP and Client
Training Delivery and
Support
- Coordinates and facilitates staff onboarding and orientation training activities
- Ensures timely and quality training support to client(s), including expected delivery to training metrics
- Partners with internal FSP account management teams and/or Client Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)/Training staff to assess program training needs and develop/implement appropriate training solutions
- Partners with fellow trainers, FSP Management, and staff to promote compliance with implementation/effective dates of relevant SOPs, process improvements/changes, and associated training for assigned programs
- Regularly assesses assigned program training needs/gaps and proactively develops appropriate mitigation measures (e.g., through training development, process improvement, etc.)
- Contributes to the development of, and delivers, training related to FSP and/or Client SOPs, systems, processes, and process improvements to staff, as applicable
Onboarding Support
- Support program onboarding activities, including development and maintenance of the program new hire onboarding guides, including standardized Parexel onboarding process
Compliance Support
- Monitor and track employee compliance with mandatory training requirements
- Conduct regular compliance audits and implement corrective actions as needed
- Stay up to date with changes in regulations and update training content accordingly
Business Operations
Support
- Supports the development and implementation of SOPs, processes, and associated training
- Supports implementation of FSP Business Operations and FSP Training and Compliance initiatives to improve efficiency and quality
- Supports effective knowledge management concerning standards, processes, and training
- Supports effective documentation of training on standards and processes within the FSP and/or the Client program, as applicable
- Supports FSP processes through partnerships with other key functional areas
Skills:
- Ability to organize tasks, time, and priorities
- Well-developed interpersonal, verbal, and written communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential
- Demonstrated ability to think and act strategically, with agility, flexibility, and a positive attitude
- Well-developed analytical and strategic thinking skills, detail-oriented with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and programs at once · Proficiency in Microsoft suite (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, etc.) required
- Working knowledge of eLearning applications (e.g., Articulate, Vyond, etc.) preferred
Knowledge and Experience:
- 2+ years of direct training development and implementation experience is required; biotechnical, pharmaceutical, or CRO experience preferred
- Working knowledge of adult learning principles and training methods required
- Knowledge of the clinical development process, including an understanding of clinical trial management and an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the principles of GCP preferred
- Experience working remotely in a global team environment preferred
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree required.
