Sr Social Media Strategist

The Senior Social Media Strategist is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing the social media strategy for Parexel’s marketing initiatives, with a particular focus on LinkedIn. The role works collaboratively within a team environment to develop social media strategies that help us achieve our marketing goals as part of omnichannel campaigns and to support and improve online presence and overall digital marketing efforts.

Social Media Strategy

  • Plans and develops social media strategies for Marketing, ensuring the alignment of key stakeholders from marketing and Corporate Communications
  • Contributes relevant marketing content to support the employee advocacy program, which further encourages employee engagement in social media across the company.
  • Designs Marketing social programs that ensure brand stewardship, consistency of voice, and appropriate compliance.
  • Manages Marketing’s social presence by conducting social listening and collaborating with experts to identify relevant conversations and comments for response and brand engagement.
  • Monitors effectiveness measurements of Marketing social posts and stays ahead of best practices. Makes recommendations to drive continuous improvement.

Coordinate and deliver content

  • Creates content and manages editorial calendar to ensure continuous and optimized brand presence on social media.
  • Works closely with Corporate Communications and agency partners to support seamless scheduling and planning of the social media editorial calendar.
  • Drives weekly LinkedIn Newsletter, managing thought leadership content flow with the services marketing team.
  • Writes and creates compelling, on-brand content for identified target audiences.
  • Leverages an appropriate mix of post types to ensure strong engagement.
  • Identifies opportunities to leverage content from other channels, including video, podcasts, thought leadership, blogs, and more.
  • Monitors and measures Marketing’s social media presence and performance across relevant sites and platforms.
  • Manages and drives paid social campaigns to support omnichannel campaign plans for the marketing team.
  • Provides guidance and advice to regional marketing teams executing localized marketing social media, including WeChat in China.

Travel

  • Travel up to 20% based on project needs, including domestic and international.

Skills:

  • In-depth understanding of social media platforms
  • Top-notch social media design skills and expert use of Canva and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Significant experience building social media programs in LinkedIn
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Strong written communication skills with applied best practices for social media writing style
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Ability to think strategically and work in a collaborative team environment
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • High level of attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, progressive, and dynamic environment
  • Manages work to established deadlines

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of social media management experience in a corporate or agency setting
  • B2B social media experience
  • Experience in CRO/life sciences industry is an advantage

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Communications/Strategic Communications, marketing or English preferred
