We are lookingfora Scientist III or Principal Scientist I –Liquid Chromatography– Mass Spectrometry(LC-MS)and AnalyticalSupporttoworkas a full-time employee of Parexel FSP on long-term assignment onsite at one of our clientslocatedin Rahway, NJ. Thisis a laboratory-based role thatmaintainsand operatesopen accessLC-MS instrumentation and performs other tasks as assigned by the client.

Responsibilities 

• Checks instrument performance and suitability routinely, prepares mobile phases, and performs routine upkeep ofopen accessLC-MS instruments

• Maintainsaccuratedocumentation and records, data/file transfer, etc.

• Communicatesstatus of instrumentsto end-user. Responds to end-user repair calls for LC-MSinstrumentsand troubleshoots/repairssimple issues such as leaks or clogs.

• Submits and coordinates repair tickets for more complex issues

• Assistwith purity analysis of investigational compounds byLCand high-resolutionMSexperiments.

• Supportthe installation and qualificationprocessforopenaccessinstruments, including coordination with vendors.

• LC and LC-MS analysis of small molecule samples as needed. 

Qualifications 

• Scientist III: aBachelor’s degree in Chemistryor a closely rated fieldand3to5 yearsof relevant experienceoraMaster’s degreein Chemistryor a closely rated field and1 to 2 yearsof relevant experience 

• Principal Scientist I: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with at least 3-5 years of experience or a Master’s degree in a relevant field with at least 1-2 years of experience

Required SkillsAndExperience 

• Reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC)

• Experience with Waters,Sciex, or Agilent LC-MS instrumentation and software

• High resolution mass spectrometry

• Strong communicationand coordination skills
