Real-time Visual Analytics (RVA) Specialist / Sr. Data Engineer - US Remote

DEPARTMENT SUMMARY

This role is in Early Development Biometrics (EDB), a core function within Product Development Data Sciences (PDD) that provides strategic leadership and scientific rigor across early clinical development at Company. We partner across Biostatistics, Analytical Data Science, and Data Management to enable data-driven decision-making from first-in-human through proof-of-concept studies.

As trusted partners in early development, we design efficient and innovative clinical trials, apply rigorous statistical methods, and implement high-quality programming and analytical solutions to accelerate timelines, de-risk development, and increase the probability of technical success.

Our integrated teams operate with agility and scientific depth, supporting exploratory analyses, early regulatory engagements, and complex data-generation needs across therapeutic areas. EDB is also home to:

- Statistical Methodology, enabling impactful use of quantitative methodology.

- Visual Analytics, which develops interactive dashboards for Medical Data Review and safety signal detection.

THE OPPORTUNITY

The Real-time Visual Analytics Specialist is responsible for designing, delivering, and maintaining interactive, study-level data visualizations supporting Medical Data Review (MDR) and safety signal detection.

Responsibilities:

- Create and maintain standardized data visualizations.

- Apply visualization standards aligned with RBQM and CtQ endpoints.

- Implement visual analytics within study timelines.

- Support documentation and quality control.

- Participate in training and incorporate feedback.

- Assist with stakeholder requests.

- Apply independent judgment in prioritization and decision-making.

- Address moderately complex statistical or data issues.

- Participate in peer review and mentoring.

WHO YOU ARE

- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, computer science, data science, bioinformatics, or related field.

- 2–4 years experience in clinical data, visualization, or analytics; or advanced degree with 1–2 years.

- Familiar with visualization tools (Spotfire, Tableau, etc.).

- Understanding of clinical trial data structures.

- Strong attention to detail and logical thinking.

- Respect for cultural differences.

- Effective communication in English.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Exposure to clinical or safety data structures and terminology.

- Familiarity with RBQM concepts.

- Interest in visual storytelling.

- Experience with interactive tools such as Spotfire, Tableau, Power BI, or R/Shiny.

- Ability to follow visual design templates.

- Curiosity and willingness to learn in a regulated environment.
