About the Role

We are seeking a Manager, Production Services (Clinical Trial Supply Chain / Clinical Logistics Operations Manager) to join our Clinical Trial Supplies & Logistics (CTS&L) team in a remote U.S./Pennsylvania-based capacity, with preference given to candidates located within reasonable proximity to our Quakertown, Pennsylvania depot.

This newly created leadership role will help shape the future structure of a global Production Services team responsible for clinical trial supply packaging, labeling, manufacturing support, production planning, and batch documentation activities. The Manager, Production Services will provide operational leadership, technical guidance, and day-to-day oversight across critical clinical supply chain functions while ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements, sponsor expectations, quality standards, and delivery timelines.

You will partner with cross-functional teams across North America, Europe, Asia, and Latin America to support the successful delivery of clinical trial materials that directly impact patients around the world. This position offers a unique opportunity to step into a visible leadership role, influence team strategy, and drive operational excellence within a growing global organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop Production Services team members while fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.

  • Oversee clinical trial supply production workflows, ensuring projects remain on schedule and deliverables are achieved.

  • Monitor operational progress, manage priorities, and provide escalation support for complex supply chain challenges.

  • Support packaging, labeling, manufacturing support, batch documentation, and production planning activities.

  • Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Distribution Practices (GDP), regulatory requirements, and departmental procedures.

  • Drive problem solving and mitigation planning to address project risks and timeline challenges.

  • Support supplier compliance, quality metrics, training compliance, audits, inspections, CAPA activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional clinical supply chain stakeholders to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction.

  • Contribute to operational excellence, process improvement initiatives, and lean management practices.

  • Support business growth through participation in internal initiatives, client-facing activities, and strategic operational planning.

Candidate Profile

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Logistics, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.

  • Approximately 6 to 10+ years of experience in clinical trial supply chain, pharmaceutical production, clinical logistics, or a related regulated environment.

  • Strong knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements and clinical supply chain operations.

  • Experience with production planning, packaging design, labeling operations, and supply chain execution.

  • Ability to identify risks, resolve operational issues, and implement mitigation strategies.

  • Strong project management, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Fluent English communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within a Contract Manufacturing Organization (CMO) supporting clinical trial supplies.

  • Previous people leadership or team management experience.

  • Pharmaceutical Sciences educational background or equivalent pharmaceutical industry expertise.

  • Experience leading global or geographically dispersed teams.

  • Financial, budgeting, profitability, KPI, and forecasting experience.
