Intern, Global Biometrics Oversight

The Intern, SharePoint and Power BI Specialist, will report to an assigned mentor within the team, will provide dedicated support for internal reporting, data visualization, and GDO DRIVE SharePoint site management.
The intern will be responsible for delegating operational and administrative reporting tasks, thereby allowing the team to focus on strategic client engagements. General areas of responsibility include supporting the creation and management of SharePoint document libraries and lists, assisting with site structure, navigation, and permissions, and helping to customize SharePoint pages using web parts. The intern will also connect to various data sources, create dashboards and interactive reports using Power BI, and gain exposure to report publishing and sharing.
Key Accountabilities:
Deliver best value and high quality service.
Check own work in an ongoing way to ensure first-time quality.
Provide dedicated support for the generation and maintenance of internal reports.
Assist in the creation and refresh of data visualizations and interactive dashboards using Microsoft Power BI.
Knowledge/Skills:
Familiarity with creating and managing SharePoint document libraries and lists. Understanding of SharePoint site structure, navigation, and permissions.
Familiarity with customizing SharePoint pages using web parts.
Ability to connect to various Power BI data sources (e.g., Excel, SQL).
Ability to create Power BI dashboards and interactive reports.
Basic understanding of Power Query.
Exposure to Power BI report publishing and sharing.
Good analytical skills.
Good communication skills.
Self-driven with a willingness to learn.
Basic understanding of Microsoft 365 tools, including Power Automate/Power Apps.
Education:
Degreein a life science, computer science qualification or other relevant experience required.
