Senior Business Solutions Specialist

Job Purpose:

Lead the development and oversight of Medical Services budgets for proposals and contracts, applying advanced expertise and judgment to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions. Analyze study documentation and requests for proposals to prepare accurate cost estimates. Serve as a primary contact for internal and external stakeholders on more complex study budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and client expectations. Mentor and coach junior team members while maintaining business tools and training materials to support operational excellence.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Independently manage complex budget development for proposals and contracts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards.
  • Represent the organization as a prime contact on projects, coordinating with senior internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analyze diverse data sets and apply sound judgment to develop innovative, competitive strategies and solutions.
  • Mentor and coach entry and intermediate staff, providing guidance and formal training as needed.
  • Maintain and enhance business tools and processes to improve efficiency and consistency.

Skills:

  • Advanced interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Understanding of clinical research phases and ability to interpret schedules of assessments.
  • High-level analytical and problem-solving skills with sound judgment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and advanced spreadsheet development.
  • Commercial and business acumen with ability to influence decisions.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • 5–8 years of experience in pharma or pharma services industry, including exposure to proposals, finance, analytics or medical/safety-pharmacovigilance services.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s preferred in Life Sciences, Business, Economics, or Finance
