Senior Accountant - Finance

The Sr. Accountant - Finance is responsible for US GAAP Accounting, Statutory Accounting, for India.
Job Description:
Monthly activities for Local GAAP:
Overall responsibility for the day-to-day local GAAP Accounting
Prepares TDS Payments, GST, TDS filings and Others, applicable
Prepares the Balance sheet accounts reconciliations for Local GAAP
Ensure the Compliance of Statutory requirements:
Make sure all accounting principles are communicated
Perform statutory accounting on a local system in alignment with up-to-date local tax & Legal rules or performs statutory accounting on Oracle
Prepares or coordinates with local agency (Including but not limited to banks, government institutions and tax offices) the timely filing and audit of the statutory/tax accounts.
Support monthly closure of GL Close (US GAAP) on WD5, Statutory books Close and Good in preparation of financial statements
Experience in Reconciliation preparation, review of all accounts works towards clearing the open items.
Interact with the sub ledger teams, support teams for data, documents & advice on finance related aspects.
Support Group Audit, Statutory Audit, Tax Audit, GST Audit
Must be ERP proficient in Oracle
Experience in working with SEZ Units, SEZ Filings & proper maintenance of books
Knowledge of US GAAP & IGAAP differences in accounting treatment is a plus
Skills:
Good analytical skills
Effective time management to meet Monthly timelines or team objectives, completion of assigned tasks in a timely manner
Proficiency with desktop applications such as MS Office particularly in Excel
Capability of handling confidential matters
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
A flexible attitude with respect to work assignments and new learning
Ability to manage multiple and varied tasks with enthusiasm and prioritize workload with attention to detail
Willingness to work in a matrix environment and to value the importance of teamwork
Shows commitment to and performs consistently high-quality work
Knowledge and Experience:
6+ years of experience in Core Financial accounting, Taxation, Audits
Overall understanding of Accounting Module like subledgers to GL to Reporting.
Education:
CA Semi Qualified / M.com with 6 + years of experience.
