General Ledger Accountant – North America

Job Introduction:

At Parexel, we are a leading Clinical Research Organization company specializing in delivering life-changing medicines to patients. We are seeking a General Ledger Accountant to join our Corporate Control team. In this role you will be responsible for the preparation and maintenance of monthly GL journal entries with sufficient documentation, providing a clear audit trail.

Who we are looking for:

Detail oriented individuals with proven experience working as an Accountant within public accounting or in a similar role. Who are passionate and knowledgeable of accounting and US GAAP, that possess excellent problem-solving and analytical skills while demonstrating impeccable communication skills.

What you’ll do:

• Prepare and maintain monthly GL journal entries with sufficient documentation, providing a clear audit trail
• Ensure all balance sheet accounts are reconciled and analyzed on a monthly basis, with appropriate supporting documentation, and with regular follow-up on any aged items
• Analyze GL account activity and prepare monthly trend analyses
• Prepare organized ad hoc Excel reports on an as-needed basis, based on analysis of GL data

Additional details:

2-years of public accounting experience required, CPA license preferred.  Advanced knowledge of Excel. Previous experience working in accounting for a large company; international experience preferred.
