Clinical Study Enrollment Specialist

We're looking for a Clinical Research Enrollment Specialist to join our Early Phase Clinical Unit (EPCU) team at Parexel. In this dynamic role, you'll be the vital link between our volunteer database and our clinical studies, ensuring smooth enrollment processes while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and care.
What You'll Do
As an Enrollment Specialist, you'll wear many hats in a fast-paced, rewarding environment:
Drive Study Enrollment – Manage daily enrollment activities for assigned studies, working efficiently to minimize waste and maximize results.
Be Our First Point of Contact – Answer inbound calls on our volunteer hotline, providing study information, scheduling appointments, and responding to inquiries about our published advertisements.
Actively Recruit Volunteers – Conduct outbound consulting to identify and engage new applicants from our volunteer database for healthy volunteer studies and specialized patient populations.
Manage Our Volunteer Database – Insert new volunteers, allocate eligible candidates to appropriate studies, and maintain accurate, up-to-date contact information.
Support Study Operations – Collaborate with study recruiters on screening questionnaires, manage screening appointments, and prepare statistical metrics for patient studies.
Create Welcoming Experiences – Welcome and register volunteers and patients at on-site information sessions, track attendance, and ensure a positive first impression.
Ensure Compliance – Support SOPs and Good Clinical Practices (GCP) to maintain the highest standards of clinical operations.
Foster Teamwork – Build strong partnerships across the team, communicating openly and maintaining a positive, results-oriented environment.
Who You Are
Essential Skills & Qualities:
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- Sociable, patient, and genuinely interested in helping people
- Strong telephone etiquette and communication skills
- Independent, self-motivated, and adaptable – you thrive under pressure
- Comfortable handling confidential information with discretion
- Proficient computer skills with familiarity in database management
- Flexible and able to juggle multiple priorities
Experience:
- Proven background in office administration, database administration, customer service, tele-sales, or call center work
- Preferably at least 1 year of practical experience in an enrollment department at CRO (Clinical Research Organization)
Education & Languages:
- Secondary school leaving certificate or A-level qualification
- Commercial, medical, or scientific education is a plus
- Fluent German (spoken and written) – essential
- Good command of English – essential.
