Clinical Assistant EPCU

Are you organized, detail-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment? We're looking for a dedicated Clinical Research Operations Assistant to support our Early Phase Clinical Unit (EPCU) and help deliver exceptional care to our study participants.

This is a fixed-term contract for 12 months, with the possibility of conversion to a permanent position.

About the Role

This is a diverse, multi-functional position where no two days are the same. You'll be the backbone of our operations, managing three key areas:

Kitchen Operations

•            Distribute meals and beverages to study participants with precision, following strict study protocols

•            Maintain meticulous records of food and beverage distribution times and consumption

•            Ensure food quality and safety through expiry date checks and proper storage

•            Coordinate with caterers and manage kitchen inventory

•            Operate specialized kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.

Reception & Hospitality

•            Welcome and support study volunteers, visitors, and suppliers with professionalism and warmth

•            Manage volunteer check-ins, check-outs, and coordinate their experience

•            Handle administrative tasks including visitor logs, ID management, and remuneration processing

•            Arrange volunteer activities and manage appointments

•            Serve as a key point of contact and mediator between volunteers and clinical staff.

Warehouse & Logistics

•            Receive, inspect, and organize incoming clinical goods and study medications

•            Maintain accurate inventory of consumables and stationery

•            Identify and manage expiring stock efficiently

•            Prepare and label clinical collection materials

•            Perform quality control checks and coordinate with procurement on delivery issues.

Required Qualifications:

•            Fluent German and basic English proficiency (written and spoken)

•            Proficiency with Windows Office applications

•            Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure

•            Flexibility to work shifts (early, late) and weekends/holidays as required

•            Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

•            Competency in operating kitchen equipment and machinery with health and safety awareness

•            Secondary school qualification or equivalent.

Experience:

•            Background in restaurant, canteen, or hospitality work, OR

•            Experience in office administration or reception, OR

•            Experience in a hospital or medical environment.
