Meet Enzo: Senior Client Relationship Director
"I love my job, because literally every day will bring a new challenge, or I will learn something new."

Enzo shares his insight into being a Senior Client Relationship Director and returning to Parexel, not once but twice!
- Please introduce yourself and your role at Parexel.
My name is Enzo Giuliano and I am a Senior Client Relationship Director (CRD) at Parexel. - What does a day in your job look like and what are your core responsibilities?
My core responsibilities are to ensure sales growth, profitability and building relationships within the account that I am assigned to. I love my job, because literally every day will bring a new challenge, or I will learn something new. - When did you first join Parexel and what was your role?
I joined Parexel in 2013 and worked as a Global Project Leader on a large global program. - When did you leave Parexel and why did you choose to come back?
I first joined Parexel in 2013 and worked as Global Project Leader on a large global program. I then left for a few months during 2013, but returned later that year. I then left Parexel in 2015 to pursue an exciting opportunity at a biotech company who developed innovative medicines for rare diseases in 3rd world countries. I chose to return to Parexel in January of 2019 in my current role - What was it like returning to Parexel?
I really respect the people who work at Parexel. We are all very different, and that it is a good thing. I also respect how we as a company keep the Patients First in everything we do. - What is different at Parexel now compared to when you first were here?
Our systems have definitely evolved and improved since I originally joined. The company rebranding took place shortly after I re-joined in 2019 and has been well received by the client I work with. - What traits and/or skills are needed to be successful in your role?
I think for most positions in clinical research, but especially in my role, you have to be willing to be ‘wearing many hats’ at different times during any day. This is exciting though and energizes me. I still believe that the customer comes 1st. To me the customer is the client, but also ultimately the Patients we are serving. Relationship building and good client service are key in my role. - Share with us an experience that was very rewarding for you during your time at Parexel, and how did it make you feel?
The most rewarding part of my job is when our clients release positive press releases for programs that Parexel was responsible for. For example, the client I work with received regulatory approval for their BLA in Europe and Japan for their psoriasis drug. On a personal level it was rewarding to be part of the Commercial Sales Team of the Year award. - How has Parexel supported your career development since you joined?
For most of my career I was part of operations. Since joining the Commercial department, several internal and external training sessions have been provided to develop my overall skillset. - What was the best piece of advice you received in your career?
Both pieces of advice received are from current Parexel Leaders: “Trust but Verify” and “Don’t sell yourself short” 😊 - Which of Parexel's Core Values - patients first, quality, respect, and empowerment and accountability - resonates most with you and why?
Patients first: We fight for patients because they’re at the heart of everything we do. We all know people who needed and continue to need innovative and ground-breaking therapies at some stage in their lives. Many may be family members. I lost my dad at a young age to cancer, and growing up without a father probably guided me into my career choice - How do you keep the patient at the heart of everything you do?
It is sometimes challenging to do this because of daily meetings, emails, escalations, etc., but I find it helpful to make this a daily habit though. The Parexel mouse pad and screen saver definitely help. - How do you achieve a positive work life balance?
My interests outside of work provides a balance. I like to spend time with my family and friends, bike, read and listen to music (I love all music genres except Country Music! Classical music, Jazz and Blues are my favorites). - Tell me something most people don’t know about you.
I got married in Hawaii (many years ago!) and was fortunate to return last year for our anniversary. - What is your untrainable superpower?
Optimism in the future. We are living in difficult times, but I truly believe our best is still ahead of us. If we work together we can fix the most pressing problems of the world. - What habit, behavior or belief have you recently acquired and why is it now in your life?
I am trying to give other people the benefit of doubt. Our society is becoming more and more polarized, and simple acts of kindness will hopefully make a difference. - If you wrote a ‘user manual’ for how people should interact with you, what would be the most important point in the manual?
Always be yourself!
